Tom King Weekend...

This is a big weekend for East Nasty... Saturday, March 12  Tom King 5k, 1/2 Marathon

Lots of Nasties are running the 1/2 marathon, our couch to 5kers are running the 5k, and the rest of us should be at the water stop!   The East Nasty water stop is located on Davidson under I-24.  (Get off on Shelby and take 5th down to Davidson.  Here is a map...)   This is the one mile and twelve mile water stop for the 1/2 marathon, and the turn around point for the 5k.   Here are some details from the Jones brothers:

All you have to do is show up. We will be out there from 7:00 – 11:00 am working the water stop for both races. The water, coolers, tables, and cups will all be out there for us. All we have to do is show up with our east nasty gear on ready to hand out water and cheer on the runners. The water stop is on Davidson directly underneath the interstate. You can park in the old Flemings gas station right on the corner of 5th and Davidson. If you have any questions about the please see Rod or Drew Jones. You can come at anytime and leave at anytime you like. Just make sure you come out there and join us.

Also....the Nashville Striders sent out an SOS needing some volunteers at the finish line clipping chips from shoes.  If you are willing to take on this task, meet me at the water stop @ 7am and I will haul a crew over to the finish line...

Sunday, March 13 Centennial Park

For the next three Sundays, we will be running on the Country Music 1/2 Marathon course.  (Course Map)   This week we are going to run 9, 10 or 11+ miles.  Meet at Centennial Park @ 9 am, about half way between West End ave and the Parthenon.  Take a moment to study the course map, in fact go ahead and print it off if you have a tendency to get lost!  We are going to run the first 8.5ish miles of the course, but instead of turning back onto music row, we will continue down Wedgewood.  It will become Blakemore, then turn right on Natchez Trace, run through the Vandy athletic fields and end up back in Centennial Park.

The Brunch

Post run on Sunday morning, we  head down Nolensville road to enjoy brunch at Carrie Cohen's place.  Here is the brunch sheet.

See you this weekend!
